20" Kids Bikes

20in kids bikes suit children around 6–9 years old and roughly 115–135cm tall. This is where kids bikes start to feel like real bikes, with a wide choice of styles from simple single-speed bikes to geared mountain bikes with front suspension.

Single speed or gears?

Single-speed 20in bikes are light, low-maintenance and great for riding around the neighbourhood, skate parks and pump tracks. Geared bikes make hills and longer rides easier and suit kids who are ready to learn shifting. At this size most bikes use hand brakes front and rear, with disc brakes on some higher-spec models.
