The Pirelli P Zero Race TLR SL-R is Pirelli's most advanced road tyre — the fastest, most aerodynamic tyre they have ever built, and the one that won Milan-Sanremo 2025 and Paris-Roubaix 2025 on the wheels of Mathieu van der Poel. SL-R stands for Speed, Lightness, and Racing. Where the P Zero Race RS already set a new benchmark for rolling speed, the SL-R goes further still — introducing the new LiteCore™ casing construction and a unique PAAS (Pirelli Aero Asymmetrical Shape) tyre cross-section engineered specifically to reduce aerodynamic drag. The asymmetrical tyre profile, developed in wind tunnel testing alongside Pirelli's WorldTour partners, creates a shape that at certain yaw angles actually generates negative drag — in other words, it pushes the bike forward. LiteCore™ replaces the SpeedCORE™ casing used on the RS with a lighter, more supple 120 TPI tubeless-ready construction that delivers a 10% reduction in rolling resistance compared to the RS, with noticeably more compliance underwheel. The SmartEVO² compound — already proven at the top level of road racing — continues here, delivering the same outstanding wet and dry grip that has made it the compound of choice for the world's fastest road racers. Available in 700 x 28mm and 700 x 30mm in Black and Team colourways.
- PAAS (Pirelli Aero Asymmetrical Shape) — unique asymmetrical tyre cross-section engineered to reduce aerodynamic drag; at yaw angles of 7–20°, generates negative drag for propulsive effect
- LiteCore™ casing — Pirelli's lightest and most supple 120 TPI TLR construction; delivers 10% lower rolling resistance than the P Zero Race RS for record-level rolling speed
- SmartEVO² compound — Pirelli's most advanced racing rubber, developed from Motorsport expertise; exceptional grip in wet and dry conditions, low rolling resistance, and outstanding handling confidence
- Tubeless-ready (TLR) — compatible with tubeless-ready wheels and standard sealants; 28mm and 30mm compatible with hookless rims
- Race-proven at the highest level — raced to victory at Milan-Sanremo 2025 and Paris-Roubaix 2025 by Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech)
- Developed in collaboration with Alpecin-Premier Tech, Fenix-Premier Tech, and Lidl-Trek
- Available in 700 x 28mm and 700 x 30mm in Black and Team colourways
- Folding bead. Manufactured in Italy at Pirelli's Milan-Bollate plant
